Default Drag'n'Drolp Icon Size Mod??

Apologies in advance if this is the wrong place to discuss this.
I'm hoping someone here just might be able to find away around this.

While you can size the desktop and explorer icon size, the drag'n'drop icon that is displayed seems to be hard coded to one size regardless of your other icon settings.

This gets pretty annoying when you primarily deal with list and detail views. These huge icons tend to be more of a problem than a help.

Here's a sample:

In another forum it was suggested to just use cut'n'paste and not use drag'n'drop, but the lack of a proper solution has peeked my curiosity.

Seems a solution could be useful to myself and others.

Any ideas?

Yes, I have noticed that too, and have been fruitlessly trying to set it to a small size

Apparently the drag & drop icon size doesn't change no matter how small you set the icon size in a particular folder. So the only workaround would be to locate the resource file and replace the icon with a smaller one. But that's too risky and I don't recommend it.

The only safe option left is what others have already suggested to you: use alternative methods. Or simply learn to live with the oversized icon
