I am having troubles; I have patched my vista resources folder, yet with the .msstyles I cant do anything with those, when i try to change my theme, or click on it, it does nothing and doesn't change it.

I am not running sp1, home premium.

Why does this happen?

I've downloaded the "Black" theme and cant get it to work. i've unrar/packed it into C:\Windows\Resources\Themes but cant seem to apply it.

All help would be apriciated!

hey guys ive done everything that u have said and installed vistaglass but ive got a major problem, whenever i click on anything on personalization like themes it says 'windows host process (Rundll32) has stopped working'
please can sumbody help

I have the dreaded black screen because it cannot find uxtheme.dll. Safe mode also does not work as explorer.exe needs these files that I renamed in order to work.

Please tell me how to get to a command prompt so i can simply rename them from *.old to *.dll.
