First Microsoft antivirus software Windows One LiveCare alerts users whenever they open Gmail that they are infected with "BAT/BWG.A" virus, leaving them annoyed as well as confused. Later it turns out it was a false positive, a bug that needs to be fixed.. and MS ends up making a fool of itself.
Does anyone have an idea what they want to achieve by spreading false alerts like the one above against their best competitors? What on earth makes them think they'll win more popularity by using such mean tactics? Oh well..
