Default *.msstyles works but not *.theme ?!

downloaded a theme for XP (SwiftVS2) but can only install *.msstyles at properties/appearance/windows & buttons. so appearance and visual styles change but...

when i try to install *.theme file i receive following error msg:
"the theme could not be loaded because one of the needed files could not be found. this can happen with themes that are not installed or authored correctly.you should verify that the wallpaper, screensaver, icons, sounds, and other files are in the correct location.
Theme: C\Windows\Resources\Themes\Swift.theme

what am i doing wrong? i have run the uxtheme multi-patcher 4.0 and i assume it worked cause the *.msstyles are working... but somehow cannot get the *.theme file to work...

don't know that to do next (did extensive reading in forum already...)

pls help

thx!

Have you copied the theme file and related folders to "C\Windows\Resources\Themes\" folder?

Then the problem is with the theme file. The paths in .theme file are probably not correct.

So what you can do is either apply the .msstyle, wallpaper and other extras manually (easy), or open the .theme file in notepad and correct the paths (advanced).

Don't open the file from inside .rar file. First extract the contents of the rar file into a folder, then double click the visual style file to apply it.
